"Music Saved My Life" Music Camp & Benefit Concert

Watchiphop.com presents: “The Music Saved My Life” Music Camp and Benefit Concert Series. Hip Hop Music Channel is dedicated to teaching youth the history of modern music by showing the connection of live musicianship and current Hip Hop and Pop hits. Because of lack funding in many school systems bands have begun to disappear on school campuses. But there is common theme with many Hip Hop artist, if it wasn’t for music they are not sure where they would be. This common theme is why Shawn Granberry, CEO of watchiphop.com created “The Music Saved My Life” Music Camp and Benefit Concert Series.

The Music Saved My Life Music Camp and Benefit Concert will be held at venues through-out the country. The camp runs from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This event consists of a panel discussion by top recording artist and entertainment industry professionals, networking opportunities, workshops, performances and demonstrations by the student participants and a benefit concert. This event is open to students (5th – 12th grade) enrolled in targeted schools through-out the country. The Music Saved My Life tour will hit the following cities San Francisco, Los Angles, Houston, New Orleans, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D. C., Boston, New York, Atlanta and Miami. The events will be hosted by local celebrities of given regions. Participants will be recruited through

  1. outreach to students via personal letter, postcards and flyers to school principals and school teachers
  2. call in campaign with local radio in which youth can win a spot in the camp as caller 106 (example).
  3. nomination by their teachers or participating organizations
  4. Sign-up through their school office or via the Music Saved My Life website
  5. Referral by a parent or guardian, or youth organization such as a Boys or Girls club
  6. Sign ups on www.watchiphop.com

“Music Saved My Life” goal is to have up to 700 participants per camp in the MSML Camps.
